FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2005--Acme United Corporation (AMEX:ACU) announced today that Robert C. Cavagnaro has joined as Vice President of Sales, Commercial Office and School Markets.

Mr. Cavagnaro formerly was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Artistic Office Products, and earlier was Director of Global Accounts at Esselte Corporation.

His responsibilities include leading the sales efforts at major office products and school accounts, superstores, office products wholesalers, and independent stationers. He will report to James B. Benkovic, Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

Walter C. Johnsen, President and CEO, said that Mr. Cavagnaro has over 18 years experience in the office products industry and a proven track record with major accounts. The management at Acme United is delighted that he has joined us, and looks forward to his contributions.
