FAIRFIELD, Conn., Oct 19, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Acme United Corporation (AMEX:ACU) has been named Office Products Vendor Of The Year.

The award was presented for outstanding achievement in the U.S. office supplies industry. The judging panel represented all spectrums of the trade in North America. The award was presented at the 11th Annual Conference for the International Office Product Industry in Dallas, Texas.

Robert K. Scribner, President and CEO of ActionEmco presented the award noting that Acme United was recognized for its outstanding innovation, logistics and overall excellence. He said that the company had made a remarkable transformation from an old line manufacturer to a world class supplier during the past 5 years.

Other nominees were ACCO Brands, Avery Dennison and Fellowes. A separate award for the high technology segment was presented to Brother International.
